A daily low-dose topical gel for women that may help support libido, energy, and overall wellbeing. Requires recent lab work. Monthly supply.
Prescription treatments include a short medical intake at checkout. A licensed clinician reviews every order before anything is prescribed or shipped — if it is not approved, you are fully refunded.
Women's testosterone therapy is only prescribed to patients with documented low testosterone or specific hormonal symptoms confirmed by lab work, who are already on estradiol and progesterone therapy. We recommend getting the lab work done PRIOR to ordering.
To Start: You'll need recent blood work (within the last 12 months) drawn between 7am and 10am, including a CMP and CBC. If you don't have recent labs, you can order our Women's TRT Initial Panel for a low cost.
To Continue After 90 Days: To monitor your response and ensure your testosterone stays within the appropriate range for women, you will need to complete a lab test within the first 90 days of using testosterone therapy. You can order our Women's TRT Maintenance Panel or complete it independently. The lab test must include the following biomarkers: CMP, CBC, TSH, Free T4, Testosterone (free and total), Estradiol, LH and FSH, SHBG, DHEA, Sulfate, Progesterone, Cortisol serum AM, and Vitamin D. Annually: After the 90-day check in, the Women's TRT Maintenance Panel will be required annually.
A note on application
Apply to clean, dry skin and let the gel fully absorb before dressing, exercising, or touching others. Testosterone can transfer through skin contact, so avoid skin-to-skin contact at the application site with partners or children until the gel is fully absorbed. Wash your hands after applying. Your clinician and care team can answer any questions about safe application.
A note on what testosterone therapy is and isn't
Testosterone therapy for women is a medical treatment for symptoms tied to low testosterone, not a performance enhancer or general wellness treatment. Testosterone given to women who don't have low levels does not improve energy or libido and carries real risks, including effects on hair, skin, and voice. Your clinician will only prescribe testosterone if your labs and symptoms support a clinical need, and will monitor to keep levels within the appropriate range for women.
Testosterone is a prescription medication and a controlled substance in the United States, requiring evaluation by a licensed clinician.
Testosterone therapy for women is not FDA-approved. The FDA-approved versions of testosterone are dosed for men; testosterone for women is prescribed off-label, based on a growing body of clinical experience and international clinical guidelines. The Global Consensus Position Statement on Testosterone Therapy for Women, endorsed by major medical societies, supports testosterone use specifically for hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in postmenopausal women.
This medication is compounded, meaning it's custom-prepared by a state-licensed pharmacy at doses specifically formulated for women.
Testosterone therapy for women is dosed to maintain physiologic female testosterone levels, not to raise levels above the normal female range.
Possible side effects include acne, oily skin, unwanted hair growth, and, with sustained high levels, changes to voice or skin that may not fully reverse. Your clinician will monitor for these and adjust your plan if needed.
Not everyone is a candidate. Your clinician will review your medical history, possible side effects, and whether this treatment is right for you.
